  • 2/18: Mike Lindup will be playing several dates! Eric Hansen forwarded this on behalf of Becky Jefcoate, Marketing Manager for The UCL Bloomsbury:

Mike Lindup Live in London Sunday February 22 at 8pm,
The UCL Bloomsbury Theatre, 15 Gordon St, London WC1H 0AH
Box Office phone 0207 388 8822 or book online www.thebloomsbury.com

Mike Lindup quartet (With Tristan Banks, Andy Lafone and Miles Bould)
After an early hit after hit career as a founder member of Level 42, Mike Lindup is back with a new quartet. These live gigs support his latest album release, Conversations With Silence, a stunningly different sound from this truly original music eclectic, mixing in classical and film music with Cuban and Brazilian numbers. Between them the band's line up have played with the likes of Snowboy, Martin Shaw, Guy Barker, Gary Kavanagh, Roberto Pla and Sting.

The evening will be a superb showcase for Mike's talents as composer and pianist. The inspiration came from requests he had to record an album on the piano; Mike says: 'The piano is my home instrument, and I wanted this music to come from the heart, to reflect my love for diversity, composition and the Grand.' And for Level 42 fans, Mike promises to mix in some reinterpretations of music from the back catalogues.
